If you were to judge by VH1 Classic's playlist, you'd think 5 Star were a major chart presence. I like them enough, but they get played a hell of a lot on there.

i miss having digital cable, i'd watch vh-1 classic for hours.

That's probably why Deniece was the lead singer. I love her voice, a mixture of Stephanie Mills, Michael Jackson, and Jody Watley, but still her own. I like the range and emotion she spits out on "Let Me Be The One". This song has actually been remade several times by a lot of unsuccessful artists, artists I would see on Video Vibrations back in the day.
