Its sad when you top debuts are from Slim Thug and Bow Wow. With Lose Control doing well I would expect to see Missy's sales level off now and stick around awhile. Good to see Gorillaz doing well , back up to #14. with Feel Good Inc. catching on

Re: R.Kelly - he better hurry up and release chapters 5 - 10 so he can stay at #1. Yeah, but the first thing I noticed (or what stands out) is ghetto ass Slim Thug at #2. Young Rap fans will just buy any rap music - whatever get's pushed on the radio, they will buy.

its quite a fall of compared to his last album which sold well over 2mil And yet it's a much better album! Is it really? To be honest, (you know the way non-Prince fans haven't follwed anything after PR) I haven't follwed anything he's done since the Born in The USA album. My favorite Bruce song is either - I'm on Fire or Glory Days.

My favorite Bruce song is either - I'm on Fire or Glory Days. I'm on a Fire's defintely one of my favorites...kind of creepy, but still a great song. The new one is more in that vain, much more folky than rock. I liked some of the tracks on the Rising, but it seemed really burdened by the weight of expectations that it was going to be the ULTIMATE 9/11 ARTISTIC EXPRESSION! This one's much smaller, but more powerful to me (and the title track's a better political song than anything on the Rising.

Well, Common isn't negative enough. He doesn't curse enough, he's not talking about murdering this crew and that crew....he's not beefing with any other rappers, he hasn't gotten arrested recently, he's not promoting thug life, he's not a member of the G-Unit crew, he didn't do a song with 50 Cent on the vocals, he's too intelligent, etc. Can anyone else think of any reasons?.. It's a shame that young rap fans would rather hear negativity than positivity. Basically, the more negative you are (see Slim Thug, The Game, and 50) as a rapper and more trouble you get into, the more your records sell. This is nothing new, it's been going on for years and will not change anytime soon....unless there is some sort of hip hop movement (like from 88 - 94) or a bunch of self destruction type records are recorded with all the big rap stars. Anyway, enough said...

15 JONES*MIKE WHO IS MIKE JONES? 50,236 / 798,388
I didn't even know this CD was out yet. Some many of these nameless rappers release CDs so often it's hard to keep up. You have to admit....it's not that bad of a song if you're half laughing. "I'm Mike Jones!"
