but I agree....they went into falsetto overkill on this album I like all but one song on Spirits. But yeah, far too much falsetto throughout the whole thing.

One of my mate's parents used to teach 'H' from Steps. As far as I know, H has never made any reference to his sexuality but, apparently, even at a young age he was very 'theatrical' and a 'drama luvvie'. Does 'H' stand for 'Horrendous'?

Which one is that, Cloudy? Stop (Think Again). I just find it both a little overwrought and over performed. The rest of the album is dandy.

Does 'H' stand for 'Horrendous'? Maybe it stands for Happy. You know, as in light-hearted, carefree and, er.... gay.

I thought you might say 'Again'. I find that a little, er, um, I don't even know how to describe it! But I can see what Barry was trying to achieve.

"Living Together" is the best uptempo song on 'Spirits Having Flown'.I like it even better than "Tragedy".

That's a great song. Dunno why that wasn't pulled off as a single. The coolest thing about it is that Robin sings a rare falsetto lead on the verses. I think it's the only time he did that on a Bee Gees record. All the other falsetto leads are Barry's.

I do like it but 'Love You Inside Out' gets my vote. The first time I heard that horn intro on 'Search, Find', though, I was Once I got over the cheese factor, I realised it's a great song. I know this is from the 90's but one song hardly anyone mentions is 'How To Fall In Love Part1'. I adore that song.

Yeah, it's one of those that sticks the first time you hear it. Whether you like it or not.

I hear you, I used to have exactly the same opinion. But now that cheese is superfine. I know this is from the 90's but one song hardly anyone mentions is 'How To Fall In Love Part1'. I adore that song.
That's a great song. That and For Whom The Bell Tolls are the absolute winners from Size. I think that's one of the best of their later albums.

Cloudy - without having to do a search for it - what's that album from around 1981 that's completely out of print? The Living Years??? Do you have that?

Living Eyes. Yeah, I got it. Luckily. It's pretty rare. I got sent a mail saying that it was out of print and that they apologised for taking my order. Then a few days later it showed up.

Living Eyes. Yeah, I got it. Luckily. It's pretty rare. I got sent a mail saying that it was out of print and that they apologised for taking my order. Then a few days later it showed up. That's odd. Now you know what I'm going to ask...?

The best songs are the ballads, Maurice's track Wildflower being my fave. The lead single He's A Liar is utter shit, tho'. One of my least fave songs of theirs. Even Barry now hates it.

It really is rather crap. It shouldn't have even made the album nevermind being the first single. One of the outtakes City Of Angels is a much better song. Altho' I've not heard it for a long time and the quality was poor it was a cool tune. Don't know why that one didn't get through.
