Ive just got on vinyl that new compilation of her southern soul stuff she did at the Fame Recording studios, 1969-1973. For those who only know this woman as a disco singer, get this album, It's amazing. It's a fine collection that is testament to Candi's amazing voice and talent, this woman can do heartbroken like few others. Any other Candi fans out there recommend any of her other stuff????

My mother used to play her records all the time. You may have to do a "google" search to see which ones are great. She really was abused badly when she was younger, so it poured out of her singing. She now (from what I heard) sings gospel music. Candi Stanton was cool.

I've seen that compilation. Last year I bought her "Young Hearts...." set which I wasn't all that impressed by. It had some great songs on it but it had some terrible throwaway attempts to redo "Young Hearts" as well.
