Root Down

Any Jimmy Smith fans here? I downloaded Root Down after listening to the Beastie Boys version of the song and I want to learn more about him. Now that I think about, everybody is always complaining about how Hip Hop artist sample songs, but think about how many kids learned about older artist after going back and listening to the original. Notice how fast those Parliament albums got reissued in the nineties.
