i'd certainly hope that after living in england for years she would be acculturating to the country. we expect people to do that when they come to america so why wouldn't we expect people to do it when they leave?

omg I think everyone was thinking that but never would say it, obviously her kids are more imporant than any fame. but it's kinda a drainer on her image isn't it? Those pics remind of Celine Dion's last album cover with Anne Geddes. But I guess people are really hype for this album a "VOGUE" cover! wow not many muscicans get that honour.

I'd like to hear if her kids have ENglish accents. It would songs weird to me.
I hate it how Guy Ritchie tried to make himself out to be a tough cockney geezer when he first emerged, while he's actually some upper class ponce.

She's been living here for like 5 years now, how is this news? Also re: her faux Englishness, i really dont think its as false as some make out. Sure her accent is tinted, but that happens to many people when they move to another country, you surroundings always affect you in many ways. I guess its natrual that when you have kids of that age you have to make some place a home. Shes already said that much to her dismay, Guy couldn't live in New York as it freaked him out too much, so she compromised and moved to England. That in itself is indicative to me that the woman has changed - compromise
Personally as a madonna fan, this new respectable madonna aint as much fun as the old one. Im pleased shes found genuine happinness, as it was the one thing that always seemed to evade her, but i do often yearn for the old madonna. These days I find her a little too reserved.

New York freaked him out? What a pussy. They have a home in the centre of London. London is the same as New York just smaller and with smaller buildings.

But yeah, pleased for her as a person and all, but as an iconic pop star it's not what I'm looking for. Can't have everything I suppose.
Guy Ritchie ain't a patch on Sean Penn though, but Sean said recently if he'd stayed with Madge they'd have killed eachother.

New York is way different to London. To be honest,Id choose NY any day of the week, but i can see where he's coming from. NY is much more lively and built up.

Actually to tell the truth, I live in London and late at night we're always moaning that we'd like to live in New York because places close FAR too early here.

Yes,"the old Madonna" was alot more fun,but let's be real here.At 46,she would look ridiculous if she was still going around, behaving the way she did in the 'Erotica' days. When you get married and have kids, your priorities change, and it should.I'm just glad that she found real happiness and didn't self-destruct the way so many other celebrities do.

Now, where's Cyndi Lauper? She was about 5 years older than what I call "The Big 3" (Prince, Madonna & MJ) and was still kooky as hell. [Edited 7/20/05 4:50am]

she'll move back to the US in 2008---when Bush's term ends I think he's one of the main reasons she dislikes America right now

Thank you davideye! Look at how many people (myself included) complain about Janet in the recent years. The main complaints center around her recycling of the same old tired, sexy beats and her juvenile 'dirty' lyrics. I know there are those who still love all that Janet does, but it seems the bigger opinion is that she needs to grow up to move ahead in her career. So, Madonna grows up and people complain that she's changed too much. Poor popstars, they can't do ANYTHING to please the masses

Co-Sign you may have noticed from posts I have made before on the org that I am no great fan of Madonna (though I don't hate her by any means) but I totally agree that it is good to see her settled down, happy and comfortable within her own skin. I read lots of music mags and biogs and music history is littered with people who just didn't make it out the other side in one piece. Compare Madonna with the likes of Mariah and Britney, in terms of the pressure and stress those two seem to have been under in recent years, and you can see a huge difference.

I can't say I know anyone, especially music fans, who even flick through Vogue in the shop, letalone buy it. Vogue is not a music magazine. Vogue is a fashion magazine. Madonna was the first music star to appear on it's cover in the 80s, because she is as much a fashion icon as a music icon. I also believe she has been on the cover more than any other person. Only Mick Jagger has been on the cover of Rolling Stone than Madonna. The reason you've probably never seen anyone who is a music fan pick it up is they probably aren't a fan of fashion. But i know plenty of womean and gay men who read Vogue like it's the bible. ALong with W You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna
