Have Boys to Men exited the building?

They used to be the biggest thing in soul music. Now, they have the hardest time getting heard. Is this the end for their popularity, or do you sense they will come back? Are they too old? Are they really as good as we thought? Time will tell.

I just saw a billboard for them last night on my way home from work. They're playing at a casino in A.C. in a few weeks.
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

I have Boys 2 Men last release "Throwback" it was a good CD. When they promoted the CD they just didn't have it together. They seemed like they didn't click anymore. They all live in different states and to be a group you should at least seem to like each other.

nod Exactly. Let's help the others put things in perspective. The bottom line is that Boys2Men need to re-organize and get better material.

They may play for free, but believe me, they are going to get paid--with tax money.

Indeed. Their time came and went and so did their so-so voices. I never thought they could sing all that well. They had some good songs, but their production and songwriting was better than they were.

They were pop singers, not really soul. Babyface did most of their music didn't he?

To me, it's a crime and shame that BIIM seem done. While non-singers like Usher sell millions, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris play to slot-machine crowds? Dang, that's messed up.

Shawn's song for "Mr. Holland's Opus" was beautiful. That brother has a voice on him!!!

Who'd they tick off again?

BIIM trivia: They once ghost-produced an album by gospel powerhouse Commissioned, after Fred Hammond went solo. Their harmonies are all over that album (and Commissioned's harmonies are legendary already w/o help), and BIIM tear it up.
