Vain, I like the album, though Return of the Space Cowboy, which, incidentally, I was listening to this morning, is miles ahead of anything "the J" has done before or since. If you like AFO then you'll love ROTSC.
Actually, the slower songs, "Corner of the Earth" and "Picture of My Life," are my favorites on this album. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

"feels good" is the bomb. It meshes pretty well w/some trance music I have. The hidden track sounds like a demo.It is funky, but in a bootleg way. I am a fan of most of the music on Odyssey, but not all.I am re-examining,though to make sure.I like 98% of all of their music. I am in process of making another "best of" for myself. Those two songs are excellent. With this album,Jay really developed into a great songwriter. The lyrics to "Picture Of My Life" are deep and heartfelt....a truly spectacular song! | |

It's definately not his best album, by far. Not even his most funkiest, in my opinion. And WAY too much disco, ugh.
Indeed, the two slower tracks are really good, and so are the two singles. I'm just glad he kinda (but not 100%) returned to his funk roots on his latest release, Dynamite. "Feels Just Like It Should" is like it should feel indeed. My personal favourite is still Travelling Without Moving though, as far as albums go. Sounds very ... organic, if you know what I mean. [Edited 7/22/05 5:44am] I do indeed. TWM is a favorite of mine, along with ROTSC (IMHO, the group's best). They still miss Zender, tho. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
