Nu Shooz vs. T'Pau

Which band is more amazingly legendary?

Nu Shooz, who blessed the world with sampled barking dogs and "I Can't Wait"...

OR:

T'Pau, who got their name from Star Trek and gave us the gift of "Heart and Soul"?

Duke it out!

I'm going with Nu Shooz, cuz "I Can't Wait" was my jam as a kid. And "The Point of No Return." (That was them right?)

T'Pau had a single called Heart & Soul. Anyways, I digged Nu Shooz b/c they were funkier w/ I Can't Wait which was the skating jam back in the day. However, the instrumental to T'Pau's song was good but the vocals sucked ass.

OK..I have to say NuShooz, cuz I can never get tired of I can't wait (though the hook it had Dates the song as well though made the song likeable when it came out). It got a good melody and a background groove that is actually quite good. Not to mention the singer was really good and still is singing....different music. ANd Point of no return was a decent song.

I liked T'pau for that one song and even got the cassette of the album...it was er ok. They were trying for that rockish sound and it just didn't work. Also after the first minute and she starts wailing...I get itred of it pretty quick. They also tried to release a second single...Monkey House but it went nowhere.

I should NOT know as much as I do about this subject.

THIS IS SERIOUSLY TOUGH! lol Both flash me back to kindergarten.

I have to go with Nu Shooz for "I Can't Wait". That vocal sampling synth is ridiculously fun.

OK now I may not have liked him back then and I was CONVINCED that he destroyed the Eurythmics career. 94.7 in Chicago (when it was top 40) had a "new music" contest via call ins. A song had to win for 3 nights and if they won...they would play the song more. Not sure why Eurythmic were on there anyway as they weren't new music nor was the single the first off a new album...but it was day 3 for Thorn in my side and C'est La Vie came on and won the night and thus knocked them out...never to be played AGAIN omfg

He of course tried having a big pop career, however, even though he was and IS very talented and accomplished musician, it never completely happened for him.

Again... I know WAY too much about these B bands.

Dominoes was good. The video looked like Jody Watley's Still a thrill.

You got your groceries in a swamp...huh?
