I think most people can agree that when it comes to R&B, hip-hop, jazz, and pop America has it on lock...But when it comes to rock-n-roll, the Brits kick our ass up and down the street....The UK gives us the Beatles, Stones, and Led Zep and America gives them the Beach Boys (Brian Wilson is dope and deserves his props, but come the fuck on...he caries those bastards); Areosmith (good band with a lot of heart, but not on any of the British's best level) and the Doors (good band, but a bit overrated)...

I always thoght the Brts had the better bands: (Beatles, Stones, Who, Zeppelin, The Clash, Pink Floyd, Yardbirds, Cream, Police, Sex pistols, etc)
while us American had the better solo artists: (Elvis, Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, etc)

I always wondered why that was

I like American blues, but it was influenced by African music.

So censored what? Being influenced by something does not make it worse by default.
