Check out this new kick ass French commerical for Michael Jackson's new 'The Essential' album. It's tight! biggrin

According to the UK fans, it's selling for £15.99 at HMV, £12.97-14.97 at Tesco, and £12.99 at WH Smith. Also, on the Woolies and Tesco album chart, it's #1 (although that placement is based more on how the store think/want it to perform.)

I went into HMV, Virgin and MVC music stores today and they were playing it in all those stores. PYT sounded real good and loud in HMV. I think maybe one of the staff was a fan.

I've heard him being bumped in cars a few times lately too, and i hear him without fail every Saturday night out (and have done for years, but a lot more just recently).

Cool again.

Ha! smile

Although I understand the merits of (re)packaging Greatest Hits compilations from both the record company's
and musiclover's point of view, I hardly can get excited over this new offering. The only thing that is great is
that promoclip - that looked très good.

Imagine Paisley Park using Prince video's to make a trailer for a Greatest Hits package by Prince in the same manner giggle

In chicago's (a 20's-30's club), they play him all the time. Even in commercial clubs they usualy play "dont stop til u get enough" and "rock with you". Its cool, but I never hear the songs I love mad

M People "Ultimate Collection"....Holy Crap! And yet another Isley Brothers compilation (possibly only for the British Market). And Kelly Clarkson's CD just came out over there....that's more breaking news than this!

It's not going to sell because these compilations aren't meant to be best sellers. Even with a killer tracklisting (which it lacks, sorely) they are only meant to catch the eye of people browsing the sheleves, not in search of this disc. I think this one will sell better than most, probably, but that isn't much of a discintion.

That M People thing has been on TV loads though. But it's actually "M People & Heather Small", so that basically means M People's Greatest Hits and 3 different versions of 'Proud'

They really only had one, maybe two hits here. Is it all remixes, though? According to Amazon, no "Proud". They already have a "Best Of"....crazy!
