I think they're great too.
I would have much preferred buying these songs than her last greatest hits album - again.

The hits sets are getting better ("Gold" is very definative but could use "Rumour Has It" as well as "Power Of One", "Love Is The Healer" and "Work That Magic" to be more complete) but it's still a joke. It needs to stop and the record companies need to stop repackaging the hits!

"I GOT YOUR LOVE" will be available on iTunes July 26 through Universal Records! I tried to do Itunes and it didn't work on my sister's computer, which is pretty good. I would definately pay for the download but really would rather have it on a CD....on a CD of all new material! Maybe, just maybe Donna should have her hits remixed by famous fans such as Moby and the Pet Shop Boys but I would much rather hear a disc of all new stuff. The downloads seem to suggest that a new one is coming...I assume that's the intention, although Cathy, a webmaster who has the latest on Donna before Donna herself does, suggests that these are valut tracks and makes no indiction or hope for a new CD. I wouldn't be shocked if she released "Angel" as is, would you? Wille Nelson released "Countryman" after 9 or so years in valut. I really hope so....please Donna, please. It might depend on people buying "I Got Your Love". Anyone have anything to say about the downloads. I think they are all good but "I Got Your Love" is fantastic! [Edited 7/16/05 21:13pm]

It's about time! I'm reading through the discography info, and it inspired me to pull out this album:
One of my favorites of hers...all 5(ish) songs on it!

Still needs some work on the site, but I'm loving the photo gallery section. Great classic pics like this one:
And scary what-the-fuck-were-you-thinking pics like this one:

One of my favorites of hers...all 5(ish) songs on it! Probably one of my favorites as well. Definately the best of the early single disc albums, and those were nothing to sneeze at!

That was taken from the misundertood but not as bad as it seems "Mistaken Idenity", which seemed like an effort to connect with younger fans but had a theme and some great experimental mature tracks like "Heaven's Just A Whisper Away" and "Friends Unknown" but also explosive dance pop "Work That Magic". It was an attempt to get into the R&B market....by a woman who was often criticized for making white music and now decides to done a blonde wig...go figure! She was supposed to do another album with SAW but I think they disbanned. It probably wouldn't have been as big as APAT but probably would have sold better than MI, which never charted (did something in the ninties on the R&B chart). The album had major problems which had nothing to do with the music. At the time Donna was defending herself in a case where a writer wrote she said things about the gay community and her sister died, which is why she apparently made no video for "When Love Cries", the first single. There was one for "Work That Magic", but it was kind of late, no? The album has the disticion of going from the bargin bin to out of print to back into the bargin bin. And I had to buy it when it was out of print and somehwat pricey on Ebay!

One of my favorites of hers...all 5(ish) songs on it! I love Donna Summer. Four Seasons of Love is great. As is the cover. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

This album is a 1976 disco classic The original vinyl LP comes with a fold-out 1977 calendar that features four dazzling photos of Donna. It also included a lyric sheet and an order form where you could buy Donna Summer pillows,T-shirts,and other goodies. This album is worth hunting down at a used record store.

I'll never buy another Donna Summer compilation. It's ridiculous the way they keep re-packaging and re-selling these same songs over and over and over!

She has to know that it's starting to piss off real fans who might not be there or even believe that a new Cd is coming out....Are you speculating about the possiblity of a release for "Angel"?

I don't think 'Angel' will ever be released. Most likely, she will sell a few songs on her site,as downloads. She recently said that in October (when her tour ends) she is going back into the studio to record a new album, but I'll believe it when we have the CD in our hands, lol.

Really....all four songs as downloads only? I think if she just released the album as is it would do a lot better. Older fans are not going to go to the net to pick up a download but would buy a Cd. If Sony still owns it, they should make a deal with Donna and release it to get people hyped for a new album (yeah, I know....it really doesn't work like that...Syhe has to make a full new album).
