Has anyone ever heard of Biff Bang Pow? I've just discovered them out of nowhere apparently. In my estimation, they were one of the great lost treasures of the British New Wave/Pop era. If you like any of the British jangly guitar-based pop bands of that era (The Smiths, Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, The Jam, Prefab Sprout, Icicle Works, The Go Betweens, The Pretenders, etc.), then you will definitely like Biff Bang Pow.
Waterbomb was the compilation CD that I listened to and it is a great and comprehensive retrospective of the groups work. I would recommend this CD to those who make the generalization that all 80's music is trite and dated. This sounds like a timeless classic to me. Founded by Alan McGee in the 80s. Biff Bang Pow were named after a song by UK 60s band The Creation. Songs were released on McGee's own Creation Records label (are you noticing the influences here?).
Biff Bang Pow never hit the big time but McGee was famous for discovering Oasis and also for signing other bands to Creation Records such as Primal Scream, Boo Radleys, Ride, Teenage Fanclub, My Bloody Valentine etc etc... He sold the label to Sony in the late 90's and made quite a few million.

I question your opinion since you think Journey sucked!
