U2 "hard to find" albums where can I find some U2 "hard to find" albums or songs? "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Their original version of "Sweetest Thing", in my opinion was far better than the commercial release. It was a b-side of Rattle and Hum and was only released on cd single. It became a hit after they re-recorded it. I also love "A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel" but I think you can find that somewhere. Some of their early 12 inch records might have some rare tracks if I remember correctly.

SWEETEST THING was actually a B-side to WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME, I know, because I have it. It IS way better than the re-recording a few years ago. Don't know if U2 actually has any hard-to-find stuff. Just about everything in their catalogue was released to I-Tunes last year. Pretty amazing selection of stuff. The one thing that might be hard to find is the live album from the POP tour - Hasta La Vista Baby, Live from Mexico City. I think this was only released to members of the fan club. Supposed to be great.

There are some remix cds that are hard to find.
There is an official one from Propaganda which I think is called Melon. Then there are a slew of bootlegs patterned after Melon called Grape & Kiwi & Banana & the list goes on. They are pretty good for bootlegs.

The first 4 singles have never been released on CD right? I'm particularly interesred in the 4th single 11 O clock tick tock/Touch which was produced by Martin Hanett famous for producing artists like Joy Division,New order, & A Certain Ratio.

You can get most of these (if not all) on i-Tunes. "The Complete U2" should have the entire U2-3 EP as well as the early singles. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

I'm looking for the song "Mercy" and, more importantly, for a song - it's one of the best U2 songs I've ever heard - played as soon as "40" finished at both San Jose shows. It is a gorgeous song and I've never heard it before (or since) nor do I know its name. "She made me glad to be a man"

Here's what I could find. Doesn't look like it'll help though. 04/09/2005 HP Pavilion - San Jose, California City Of Blinding Lights, Vertigo / Stories For Boys (snippet) / Hello (snippet), Elevation, The Cry, The Electric Co. / Send In The Clowns (snippet) / I Can See For Miles (snippet), The Ocean, New Year's Day, Beautiful Day / Blackbird (snippet), Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own / No Regrets (snippet), Love And Peace Or Else, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet The Blue Sky / The Hands That Built America (snippet) / When Johnny Comes Marching Home (snippet), Running To Stand Still, Zoo Station, The Fly, Mysterious Ways / Young Americans (snippet) encores: Pride (In The Name Of Love), Where The Streets Have No Name, One, All Because Of You, Yahweh, 40 04/10/2005 HP Pavilion - San Jose, California Love And Peace Or Else, Vertigo / Stories For Boys (snippet), Elevation, The Cry, The Electric Co. / Send In The Clowns (snippet) / I Can See For Miles (snippet), An Cat Dubh, Into The Heart, City Of Blinding Lights, Beautiful Day / We Shall Overcome (snippet), Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own / No Regrets (snippet), New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet The Blue Sky, Running To Stand Still / The Hands That Built America (snippet) / When Johnny Comes Marching Home (snippet), Pride (In The Name Of Love), Where The Streets Have No Name, One, Original Of The Species encores: The Fly, Mysterious Ways, All Because Of You, Yahweh, 40

Mercy was an outtake from 'How to Dismantle...'. Most people on the forums at interference.com should be able to help you find a copy of it.
As far as I know, there wasn't a song played after '40' on either one of those shows. Are you sure it wasn't just a song playing over the loudspeaker? I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

How's that? Um, you're one of my favorite orgers. Anytime an esteemed orgered shows a modicum of attention toward me, well, I get a little excited. It was a compliment, didn't mean to be esoteric. "She made me glad to be a man"
