:::Wow, I see this is ballooning into something else:::

lol It's really not. lol I'm just curious as to what you mean. She always comes off as not the brightest, and I recall in interviews her saying that she had some kind of nickname in highschool (Mirage) because she was never there. So, I just wondered she had some education other than high school (which according to her she didn't even really show up for) that I didn't know about.

Errr, let's see if I can answer this for you.

Mariah has always been very erudite in her vocabulary. From her song lyrics to interviews. Many of her lyrics are well written and she can articulately express her points in interviews. She's not dumb. She may "act" dumb, but when I hear her speak, honestly, she comes off as someone who has an education.

As for "Mirage," that sobriquet alludes to her being absent a great deal. If I remember correctly, I was watching an MTV special where she went back to her old high school and she said she was always absent. Didn't have anything to do with her being flippant.

Okay, I got ya. smile (Though I don't really understand how your comment about being flippant relates to the conversation)

Ah, well, I took that as you saying she was called "Mirage" because she was somehow seen as flighty -- misinterpretation on my part.
