just curious as to know if anyone has any information of Alan Vega....
i met him last week after a session in NYC. He had some incredible things to say, but i felt just a bit embarrassed because i wasn't to familiar with his work. i was told that he had a lot to do with the Music scene in New York back in the 80's. if there is anything you know about him please let me know.

The two original suicide albums are absolutely excellent, really good listening for anyone interested in the (relatively) early days of electronic music. I also just LOVE Alan Vega's first solo album - it's a bare-bones (just drum and guitar mostly) rock-a-billy influenced record. That probably sounds terrible, but it works brilliantly. I've never pursued any of his other stuff, but I do feel the urge to go browsing through amazon...
