The group that never was: The Jackson Sisters (Janet, Latoya, Rebbie) Back in the '70s, there were plans to make a girl group (modelled after greats like the Supremes, the Vandellas, and the Pointer Sisters) Jackson-style. Janet, Latoya and Rebbie were supposed to be the members of this group. However, it never came into fruition. It was an idea Joe had at the time.
What do you think about this? Do you think that they would've been a successful outfit? Could they have rivaled the J5? Who do you think would've been pushed in the forefront as the breakout star? Who would've been snubbed? Talk*!

Seriously, Latoya is untalented. Rebbie is the best singer out of the three, and Janet only realized her talent when she got away from her family. It would have been alright for the seventies I guess.

The group never saw light of day due to differences regarding who would sing lead.
I think Janet is the most talented, she is an assume dancer and has a decent voice combined with great charisma. Rebbie is also a decent singer and moved well in the Jacksons Family shows La Toya could move, did a lot of tap dancing in the Family show but her voice is not good IMO

[Edited 7/17/05 19:44pm] Funny, I used to always think Millie Jackson was related to the Jacksons back in the day too. She sort of favors Latoya a lil. Onion Juice appears courtesy of Streethop.com

I think there's too much of an age difference between the 3 of them. That in itself could have created a lot of creative and marketing problems. At the time Joe was talking about doing this disco was already sneaking up on everyone. Now, really, who wanted to see an 8 year old girl singing disco, let alone with two other chicks 10 and 16 years her senior? I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I think Latoya would be touted as the Beyoncé of the group because she's the most "purdy." But light wasn't in in the '70s :-X
Err... Janet would be the Mary Ann to Latoya's Ginger. Rebbie, although equipped with a helluva voice, would get backburner treatment because she isn't as "stand-out-able" (I've been watching Whoopi too much -- heh).
