I heard a radio story last night that The Beatles "Get Back" film is being cleaned up and 5.1'd for DVD release.

It is rumoured to include, for the first time on commercial release, the entire 'rooftop' gig at Apple Records.


The film documents the making of the Let It Be LP, amidst in-fighting that was to spell the end of the biggest band of all time.





Anyone seen this film? Any thoughts?

I can't wait for this. Never seen it.

Just the footage they had on the Anthology DVD's.

Wait, is the 'Let it Be' movie going to be released on DVD, or are they releasing the 'Get Back' sessions that turned into the Let it Be album/movie? I'm confused.

I've seen the "Let It Be" movie but it was really blurry vhs copy so that made it hard to enjoy...What I can tell you is that it has very cool moments of John performing "Across the Universe," John and Paul doing "I Got A Feeling," the whole band doing "Let It BE" and "The Long and Winding Road," and in one part they are rehearsing "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." But is "Get Back" gonna be the new and improved version of "Let It Be?" I hope so. It's ridiculous that it has still not been released!!!!!

That's cool. I'm still pissed that they released that "Let It Be...Naked" crap instead of the 'Get Back' album that we had been promised. Maybe in 20 more years they'll finally get it right...
