Their original version of "Sweetest Thing", in my opinion was far better than the commercial release. It was a b-side of Rattle and Hum and was only released on cd single. It became a hit after they re-recorded it. I also love "A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel" but I think you can find that somewhere. Some of their early 12 inch records might have some rare tracks if I remember correctly.

I think I saw a site called sharetheu2love or something like that.Salome' is the only "hard to find" U2 cd I own.

There are some remix cds that are hard to find.
There is an official one from Propaganda which I think is called Melon.
Then there are a slew of bootlegs patterned after Melon called Grape & Kiwi & Banana & the list goes on.
They are pretty good for bootlegs.

The first 4 singles have never been released on CD right? I'm particularly interesred in the 4th single 11 O clock tick tock/Touch which was produced by Martin Hanett famous for producing artists like Joy Division,New order, & A Certain Ratio.

Ooh! I know one you should get. Try to find "Salome: The Achtung Baby Sessions". Good stuff.

You can get most of these (if not all) on i-Tunes. "The Complete U2" should have the entire U2-3 EP as well as the early singles.

I'm looking for the song "Mercy" and, more importantly, for a song - it's one of the best U2 songs I've ever heard - played as soon as "40" finished at both San Jose shows. It is a gorgeous song and I've never heard it before (or since) nor do I know its name.

Mercy was an outtake from 'How to Dismantle...'. Most people on the forums at interference.com should be able to help you find a copy of it.

As far as I know, there wasn't a song played after '40' on either one of those shows. Are you sure it wasn't just a song playing over the loudspeaker?
