Bob Marley: Songs Of Freedom I only have one Marley CD in my collection that is called "Legend", which briefly summarizes Marley's brilliant Tuff Gong run from 1973-81. I have just become so interested in his work that I saw this box set at the wrecka stow and it just looked so attractive and it looked much more complete than the compilation I already had. Is Songs Of Freedom really a way to complete a Marley collection if you don't want to buy all of his Tuff Gong albums?
Check me out and add me on:

I don't know to be honest. But with 4 CD's, it is one of the most essential comps to own of Bob's. And I'm pretty sure it covers ALL of his work, not just some. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

If you don't want every album it's definitely the way to go. It has his first ever recording right through to a performance from his last ever show and is an excellent sampling. It's tailormade for owners of Legend as well as it tends to have extended or alternate versions of the songs on Legend. I appreciate him more and more as time passes. His music never fails to uplift, and his life and music was incredibly selfless, in the age of money worshipping thugs he is a teacher and prophet.

Yeah, this is as good as it gets. I don't have this box set yet, since I have a good bit of his albums. My cousin has it though, and the picture book and unreleased tracks alone makes me wanna buy it. You're right about his early material too. I think it gives the listener a good overall view of his work by not leaving that out. It seems organized pretty good too, going from early -present and putting his more political and religious songs on separate discs. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
