Raz B (of B2K) "allegedly, might have, "come out of the closet

well, with all this Deadhead/Tigga shit going on, we'll see how this one plays out. probably a lot of girls under 18 year old that's heartbroken wink

from ByronCrawford.com:

One of my insensitive, homophobic readers sent me this, I guess, because he wanted me to make fun of it, as if it's somehow amusing that an ex-member of B2K has grown up and realized that he prefers to have sex with men rather than women. I don't know where the individual in question got that idea, but I decided to post it anyway just because I feel like performers such as Raz B and events such as the Black LGBT film festival help to promote awareness and fight the kind of ignorance that is so prevalent these days on the Internet. I trust that you will all have the maturity to comment on this post without using any kind of "hate speech," lest I have to report you all to your respective employers.

But this doesn't mean he's gay though (not necessarily).

That's an ad for an event. If patti labelle was on that ad we wouldn't assume she was gay.

He could be but I didn't jump to that conclusion looking at that.

I'm probably so wrong!! LOL!! Let me tell my kid!!!

Err, hello, folks...

JUST BECAUSE YOU PERFORM AT OR ASSOCIATE WITH GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL OR TRANSGENDER (GLBT) PEOPLE OR EVENTS IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU GAY.

It's that kind of thinking that's holding people back from building bridges between the communities. So what? Chaka, Patti, Jody, Janet, etc. have all performed at Gay events, are they automatically gay, too? Soon as a man jumps into an event it's "OMG, he's gay gay gay*!"

Get over yourselves.

That's what I'm going off of.

Until I hear it from AP, Reuters or Raz B himself, it's all scuttlebutt.

i edited the title--i'm just putting out there what's all over the'net--just as much as the whole superhead/big tigga fiasco.--if it's true, good for him--if it's false, --good for him for not letting what other people might think keep him from supporting a cause!

I've googled the hell out of this. All I've gotten is that he's performing at this event. No mentio of him being gay. shrug

Next...I'll just ask my kid.

like i said if he is, Hooray for him

I'm sick of this "witch hunt" mentality we have when it comes to "outing" black celebs.

OK, he or she may be "gay." Now what do we do with this "pearl of wisdom"? Stop buying his/her records? Nix support? But yet defend some bandana-wearing muthaf**ka who pisses on 12-year-old girls? And allow muthaf**kas like Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent to walk half-naked black women down award show red carpets on dog leashes with chains around their necks?

Way to go, Black America.

.

that's what i was sayin...still don't mean jackshit, tho'.

i agree with janfan and what she said...if i were able to speak out in a public forum i'd say exactly that. s'ridiculous, really--why all of this interest in one's sexual preference, "outed" or perpetuated? when all's said n'done you ain't goin to bed with the person at the end of the day and wakin up for breakfast with 'em, so why should you give a fuck about it?
