George Clinton - Computer Games I recently bought my first George Clinton Album "Computer Games". My god this album is funky, it is now in my top ten favourite albums. What do you all think of this album and can you recommend any other G.C. Albums I should get.

If you don't have them already get the 3 essential Parliament albums to hear GC at his peak:
Mothership Connection The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein Funkentelechy vs. The Placebo Syndrome GC's solo stuff is a bit hit and miss for me. Lots of filler to wade through to get to the good stuff. If you like the more 'synthesizer' sounding funk check out Zapp.

Computer Games = 2 funky.
I love Get Dressed Man's Best Friend Free Alterations Atomic Dog (Of course) One Fun At A Time great muzik on there. If U like this yeah, I would say Zapp & Roger is the way 2 go. His other solo stuff is aiight, not as tight as this. Just pick up the George Clinton 10 Greatest Hits and u'll b ok. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Good pick. "Computer Games" is a classic. By all means avoid "The Cinderella Theory". I bought it and returned it in the same day. That was the only P-Funk related recording I ever did that to.

Many dog Cinderella Theory but I found it funky,.
Rita Bewitched, Credit Card, Airbound, Tweakin' , Why Should I Dog U Out? ,French Kiss lots of good tracks. Now avoid Hey Man Smell My Finger...two many outsiders in the mix.

Theory had it moments.....The 12 inch version of "Tweakin'" is better than the album version.... Agree about "Hey Man! Smell My Finger" overproduced & way too many outsiders....."Martial Law" could've been a classic, if Clinton sang the song, instead of rappini the lyrics...

I prefer "cinderella.." to "computer games", which is too midtempo for me. "why should I dog u out" is awesome. Never found "hey man! Smell my finger", though have heard "paint the white house black" which was ok.
