All of these guys are generic. They all have the same look, same sound and same predictable style.I honestly don't see how people can even tell them apart. They all do the same type of music....bass-heavy R&B with alot of hip-hop influences and the oh-so-exciting guest rappers. The lyrics on their albums don't consist of anything of substance, just the usual...

"baby, let me love you all night long....I can treat you better than he can" blah blah blah

BORING!

Which is why I listen to mostly classic soul & old skool hip-hop these days. Today's R&B is just weak-azz vocals over beats I heard in high school & college. Where's the singing, songwriting & musicianship?

Although I do like Alicia I think all this hype he creates for her is un realstic and going to hard for her to live up 2 and could hurt her as people are going to be expecting "songs in the key of life" and "Innvervisions", she's a talented r&b singer/songwriter, and his hype of Mario confused

These sorry mofo's are lame as hell. All of them. Fuck hip-hop, these are the people bringing R&B down to the gutter. Ellie said it best, they all look, sound and dance the same way. They might as well be one person. It's terrible but it's all about the $$$$$.

These guys will will fill the void in the R&B market until Usher releases another long play CD.

They sell well enough. They're not going to make a huge impact on the charts like Usher or be legends like Prince and MJ, but they sell and make record companies money. Ain't nothing wrong with that! It's been the trend for quite a while now, although the trend is no mostly focused on these young guys when a few years back it was rappers with an R&B singer (male or female) doing a catchy chorus, often something that is straight from Stevie Wonder or George Clinton....It's all not good!

The charts seem to have forgotten them, though.

And that tells you what a sad state R&B (rap & BS) is in today. Usher is now the R&B savior.

Omarion is a self-obsessed young celebrity. It's par for the course these days.

That whole album was good. I wouldn't put Sisqo in with these guys. He has a good voice from what I can tell.
