Who are u guys pulling for on tonight's Hit Me Baby 1 More Time

i think tonight i'll be pulling for Shannon..Let The Music Play is an excellent song..being a new wave fan i should be pullng for Missing Persons but they are only one of very few early 80's groups i have never liked
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

PM Dawn was terrible. I'm guessing their win was a sympathy vote. Juice Newton was great, and Missing Persons were okay. Shannon, sadly, was terrible. She was all kinds of lazy.

I knew PM Dawn would win for some reason and they were great. They did an amazing cover of a Puddle of Mudd song which I can't remember the name of. They should totall sell that version somewhere. Shannon was good too. There should be a "Hit Me Baby One More Time" tour or something. What is funny is that over at nbc.com, Juice Newton is winning with the online voters. What's up with that?

Or just people's preference in performance. I thought her performance was better as well.

Juice Newton's performance of her song was excellent, but her rendition of Ashlee Simpson's song was awful.

PM Dawn did well with their song. Their performance of the second song wasn't bad, they were just off on a few notes, I've heard worse.

Shannon performance wasn't up to par on Let The Music Play...she cut out a lot of parts and messed up a little. Shannon's rendition of Ashanti was much better.

Missing Persons sounded the worst out of every performance. What was going on with her voice?????

Animotion could have done better but they were not the worst. The lady in the group's voice was a little off and the guy sounded better in the vocal dept.

They all sucked. This was the episode that I was actually looking forward to. Especially Missing Persons. wow. Dale actually made Kyle seem talented. Pm Dawn sounded really bad, and Annimotion were indesrcibable bad. Oh, and lets not talk about Shannon doing pushups and knee-bends and shit. She did the unthinkable... She made me miss Ashanti.

They should've changed the name of that episode to The Biggest Loser, cause nobody deserved to win.

yuck.

in my opinion if a group can take a hit and re-work it into something better than the original, they deserve to win....so far i have only seen PM Dawn and Arrested Development do that

nod I would have to agree with you on that. So far, these artist have been the only ones to sucessfully reinvent themselves and step up to the plate for this competition.

I agree. Arrested Development could release something today, and they'll definately have a larger audience than pre- Hit Me. Same with PM Dawn. I thought they sounded pretty rough, but its good to see them still around. I feel that AD came with their A game. Club Neuvo was killin those harmonies on Dido's "Thank You", too. THe Knack did a good job of "Are you gonna be my Girl". It'll be interesting to see if these groups can capitalize on the exposure from the show.

I think its pathetic that such a show even exists. Thats why so many artists get popular and then say "Fuck the U.S." and go perform overseas all the time. This is trash t.v. at its worst; artists already famous performing in a talent show atmosphere. Part of becoming a professional is never having to have to do that type of thing. America is sending the message that if you slip out of the limelight, its back to square one for your ass. No love whatsoever. sad

They were competing for a charity of their choice, and it was a cool showcase for people who haven't been getting seen in a minute. shrug

Anyway, that was the season finale sad

Nobody forced them to perform. They did so of their own will. Many of the acts didn't just "slip out of the limelight," they've actually broken up and aren't performing anymore. Animotion is one of those groups. And like Cee said, they're performing again partly because it's a performance for a charitable cause. I don't think there's anything shameful or debasing about that. The audience is ALWAYS receptive to each act. I'm watching it because I like the acts they're showcasing, not because I want to see a trainwreck.

The HELL it ain't. Read the thread. You two may not be watching in search of a trainwreck, but there a many who are treating this just like American "Idle". Americans have way too many entertainment options. Its just a matter of time before the movie "The Running Man" becomes real. Reality t.v. is out of control.
