Now that some time has passed...

How do we feel about Get behind me satan? At first I really wasn't into it but now I think it rocks. Jack White is the man!

I like it a lot and I wasn't previously a fan.

hmmm, at first i thought a lot of the songs were awesome and i pretty much still do....i still haven't managed to play it all the way through however...i think that might say something about it as an album. it feels a bit lop-sided to me...which is not always bad....but....i think with the white stripes i get sick of the production values....though i like the songs.

i like it okay, but i haven't listened to it a whole lot. i liked "elephant" a whole lot better, but i can appreciate "get behind me satan" for what it is. it's not one of my big faves of the year so far, but i'm not disappointed with it. maybe later this year i'll warm up to it a bit more, i dunno...

as much as i like them, i have to admit i sometimes find meg white's playing a bit of a chore to listen to.

i can't help but feel she's only there to keep the band gimmicky. jack white could do better drumming-wise.

eh? jack's marriage to that model chick was all over the media right before the new album came out. as to whether they're siblings or not, who cares? it's secondary to the music, and it's goofy fun to speculate what their relation is to each other, if anything. i really think they just used to date and decided they'd be better off as a band. i think it's kinda creepy that nobody's been able (or interested) in getting all up into meg's shit to figure out what her back story is.

im not a follower of theirs but i heard an interview they gave for Fresh Air....Damn, whats the host's name? Anyways...you know how she does an awesome job of covering her subjects life? well she gives this killer indepth look at the two of them...and then one of her final questions was about them being siblings.....they were like, "no comment"...which i thought was funny as hell cause you could tell they had different lives up till one point....

so, i just wondered what the big deal about it was.....
