He did put on some legendary live shows, and he did tour. He also opened for the Rolling Stones as a matter of fact just prior to Talking Book. However, I'm not aware of any commercially released footage of these concerts but I've heard that the shows he did At Musik Laden In Norway and the Rainbow Theater in London are pretty amazing if you can find some fan made video or CD of it. I myself would like to get my hands on these, but I haven't seen them on ebay or amazon or anywhere else (I think there are some CDs on ebay that have appeared from time to time).

The rainbow show (london) was recorded by Motown for LP release, but there were glitches in the tapes, that they could not fix.
There are only a few shows circulating of this time period, I've never seen video (except for footage w/ the Stones on Ladies & Gentlemen film), maybe Musikladen or something, but that's it...

actually Stevie started into the 70ees with the live album "Talk of the town". And besides "Natural wonder" from the 90s that is still the only live album by him that I own.
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

I heard he toured after "Journey"
& that he did 2 sets. The first with the more experimental material from the "Journey through.." & that the 2nd set was more hits & mostly stuff from "Songs in the key of life". I never ever saw the smoke of a bootleg from that period so I don't know 4 sure. /peace Manki

Not a legitmate release, but all Stevie fans should get the live on WNET performance from 1972. The show was called Wonderlove & was broadcast on PBS & part of a series of shows focusing on Soul artists. It's an hour long & it's fantastic. [Edited 7/5/05 12:45pm]

Strange it's so hard 2 find a recording of that since he was so big at the time. /peace Manki
