I feel that she'll always remain a cult figure no matter what era we place her in -- like Andre Cymone or Oran Juice Jones. Dismal sales and venturesome R&B albums go hand-in-hand this day and age.

Anyone ever hear Fergie sing Justin Timberlake's part on Where is the Love? Makes me want to scratch my eyes out. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

You should check it out! And I wonder what Kim Hill thinks of Fergie???

Alot of people that go out of their way to piss on some of these people's records dont know enough about the artist(s) to come to any respectable conclusion. I mean damn, if u dont like it, u dont like it... Keep on steppin'.

I thought they'd blow up with the song they did with Macy Gray in 2001 but they didn't. At the time, they sounded fresh to me. When I heard and saw the video to "Where Is The Love" I knew they would blow up but for once it made me sad. They blew up because they got Fergie in the group. To me she was the biggest sign of them selling out. I don't like her voice and I don't see what she brings to the table for them. Another thing I remember that no one brought up was that Justin Timberlake was on the song and if we go back to 2003, everything he did turned into gold so him being on that track helped them a lot. Plus all the other songs after "Where Is..." just sucked. Don't get me started on Don't Phunk With My Heart." The video's lame too. It's "Hey Ya" meets The Price Is Right. And I don't mind positive rap and all but don't sell out in the process and unfortunately the BEP have done just that. That's just my 2 cents.
Thank you for being very honest Purplecan. 1) I knew good and well that Fergie (by herself) had to be at least part (if not THE only) reason why BEP are getting bash from time to time. Well, she's the #1 reason they're getting airplay and selling records. It's only fair that she's the #1 reason why they're hated. So you take the good with the bad, I guess. And for the record, I find the guys in the group to be equally annoying. Fergie is in a league of her own as far as obnoxiousness goes, but the guys aren't far behind. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

Personally I don't like the Black Eye Peas. But, what i'm trying to understand is why? so many people get angry because other's do. I feel that so many people are two faced, it's okay for you to like what you want but it's wrong for everyone else. People none of you have the right to tell someone what they should or should not like. That's exactly whats wrong with this world and why we have so many wars. All because someone or some country is not doing what someone else wants them to do.
I know were talking about music but, it seems to be that way. Why can't we just live and let live. I like what I like and quite frankly I don't give a hell what anybody else likes. If you like what I like thats fine if you don't thats fine too.
