TLC-R U THE GIRL? Well we were all pretty much shocked when Lisa "Lefteye" Lopez passed on. It was exactly 5 months to the day that Aalliyah left us. So torn T-Boz and Chilli decided that they were no longer going to be TLC.
Well now it looks like things have changed. T-Boz and Chilli have gotten a reality show. Called R U The Girl they will look avross the country for this one talent that will become the new member of TLC. I dunno, kinda odd to hunt on TV for a new group member.Whoever it is has got to be interesting. Working up a purple sweat. | |

T-Boz & Chill aint looking for a new member; since Left Eye is gone, "TLC" as a group done with. But the purpose of the reality is to give some one (a female) the opportunity to fullfill their dream of stardom. This includes doing a concert with T-Boz & Chilli and recording with them in the studio - but if by any chance it evolves into a group effort (which I doubt will happen), it definately wont be a TLC project, it'll be something from scratch. I was gonna start a topic about this very thing last week but forgot.
They seem like they're selling out and going back on their word about ending the group. Money must be STILL tight since LaFace fucked them over. Then again, Chilli is Usherless and T-Boz is Mac-10less (Thank god) so maybe it is a money thang. I always thought Da Brat would've made a GREAT Left Eye replacement. "But what of black women? . . . From the promos that I have heard...it seems like they are (shamelessly) searching the country for a replacement for Lisa L.E. Lopez.
It cheapens the brand, don't you think? I mean, it's not like she up and walked away or anything. She DIED. I'm not watching it. Just like I'm not watching the one for INXS. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

I completely agree with u. It cheapens the contribution of Left Eye by saying "Hey! You too can be in TLC!" I really dont think their gonna start a group though - I mean, just picture these two woman in their early 30s in a group with some lil 20 year old girl. But all I know is that Chilli & Boz just wanna give some give a female the chance of a stardom.
