If R.Kelly did another "I believe I can Fly"/"World's Greatest" - Y'all would be complaing - calling him a hypocrite and shit - for doing positive/uplifting songs.

See, I seperate the court case from his music. One doesn't influence the other. Besides, (not saying he's innocent) if U watch the tape he doesn't force the girls (although they r minor) to do anything they don't want to do. However, Kelly does have a problem - obviously but that's a whole diff thread.

Anyway, 4 all the people who r trashing the shit - there are many co-workers (at my job) who love that Trapped in the CLoset shit. Basically, most R.Kelly fans like it although it's the same ol' shyt he always been doing and most R.Kelly detractors don't like it. It's plain and simple.


The album is sure fire - he has elements of different forms of music from Reggae/dancehall, to Reggaeton - to his traditional bump n grind songs. He even showcases a falsetto on the single, Remote control. There is no one in R&B right now who gives their listeners so much variety on one album.

Trapped is not the best song on there but it was the easy choice for black radio. Overall, it's a very complete album with something for everbody.

Look at Bob Dylan, Don McLean's "American Pie." and Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue," not to mention The Who's "Tommy." Granted, this hip-hopera is a lot closer to maudlin schlock like "Run Joey Run" and "Billy Don't Be A Hero" than Pink Floyd's "The Wall," but don't hate on this just because it tells a story.

I had the misfortune of seeing this video last week for the first time and all I can say is that I was speechless! Is he for real? This is the worst song and video i've ever heard and seen. Wow, he's has seriously lost the plot and i never considered him to be a very good artist anyway. I definitly see this one being on those worst video count down songs on VH1 within the next year and just think we have 4 more parts of this song to come.

that video was hideous and cheap with bad actors, including R. Kelly, waving that toy gun around like it was a church fan. I'm glad I stopped wasting my money on his shitty albums 10 years ago. The only songs worth listening to with his voice on it is "honey love" and "sex me" both while he was with public announcement, yeah i said it PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

At least then, that we know of, he wasn't trying to fuck 9 year olds!!!

I only read halfway through the posts...can't believe they're all negative. I watched the video last night for the first time. I'm intrigued and hopeful.

He's not Bernstein. Far from it. Still the video was entertaining...and funny (in places where I don't think he intended it to be...some of the rhymes were so bad they were hilarious). And then some parts actually were funny.

Outside of all this. I really like where he's going. I've often wondered how and if the musical could return. I think he's on the right track.

I probably won't watch that again and I don't like the song but I love the concept.

I'm certain that the Bernsteins of tomorrow have taken note of that.

Not saying that Missy is one but I'm guessing that she's going to be on this bandwagon. She'll probably have other artists sing the different parts. Which will be a good thing.

I'm excited to see what comes out of this. I'm glad he's got the ball rolling.

People call this guy a genius and that makes it even more disturbing. I don't want to hear anybody putting down anything P has done in the last decade if this crap is the work of a genius.

I can't wait for parts 6 - 10.
