Ol' Skoo Jam of the day: Glow Of Love - Change feat. Luther The Glow Of Love, the first song I memorized by Luther. I still havent found the original album from Change but this song was featured on some old skoo' cassette my mom used to have, and it still remained my favorite song sung by Luther Vandross.
To tell the truth I didnt know about it until Janet's "All For You" came out and I searched for the song looking in the credits.

One of his best tunes, solo or not! Great number. Janet may as well just have remade it, because All 4 U was nothing without that sample. | |

I remember hearing Janet's All 4 U and loving it because of the music and the beat but when I heard The Glow of Love later that year I was shocked because I didn't know it was a sample and that Luther sang a song like that. I fell in love with it right after that. Glow Of Love and Searchin are the cuts right there. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

Flowers bloom and morning dew and the beauty seems to say....I was jamming this cut yesterday. It brightened my mood after hearing about Luther's death. His voice is soooo beautiful and sunny on this song. Searching and Glow Of Love are too classic old school Luther cuts. [Edited 7/2/05 10:23am] | |
