I was on the way back from Toronto this afternoon and one of the cd's in my changer was Tony Rich's last cd Birdseye which came out in 1998. In my opinion the cd is hot & slept on. My question is does anyone know what happened to him or what he is doing know???

I managed to find this Cd in a bargain box for a mesely £3. Totally agree a very underated album, i never even knew there was a follow up to his debut. Where he's gone I a haven't got a clue. Dig deep there's plenty of undiscovered music out there. Check out McAlmonts "A Little communication" album. A masterpiece.

Tony Rich was disappointed with the lack of promotion his last CD 'Birdseye' was given,so he left LaFace Records soon after it came out.He hasn't been heard of since.He's really talented,so hopefully he will get back on his feet real soon.

Does anyone remember the story of Prince's meeting with Tony Rich? It was around same time as he first met D'Angelo and they sang together at a show.

Prince sat Tony on his knee at Paisely Park and asked him what he wanted "Most of all".
