lionel richie's best post-commodore's song--"Love Will Find A Way" what a great song
Are you feeling down, and lonely Feeling like you can't go on Just remember love will find a way Tell me are you going through changes Time seems like it's passing by Just believe that love will find a way (bridge I see the tears you cry I see the pain that's in your eyes So many times you were so lonely And no one seemed to care But if your hopes for your tomorrows Are drowning in your sorrows Know your heart will show you the way Are you trying to find a beginning Or something just to hold on to Always know that love will find a way Is it hard this life you're living Does the world seem so unkind Don't you worry love will find a way Some say we've lost our way Some say the world has gone astray But if you know where you're going There's nothing you can do 'Cause problems will come And they will leave you The world will try to deceive you But the truth will always be in your soul you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I always thought this was his coolest "laid-back" groove type of song. Really understated and cool. Nice driving music. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

This is one of Lionel Richie's greatest songs as a solo artist.Notably,it's the most soulful song on his 'Can't Slow Down' album. It became a Quiet Storm staple, and rightfully so.

This was the best post-Commodores song Lionel put out in the 80's. I'm pretty I sure I saw a video for it too. Lionel needs to stop bullshittin' and do the Commodores reunion tour already.

LOL!!!!!... You are right on with that one, baby. Lionel needs to get his "funk pass" back, right? VH-1's "Bands Reunited" ALMOST had them, but he bailed out.

Brotha Lionel and Commodores need to step back up to the plate. Hell if Fleetwood Mac can it, anybody can do it.

Nah, Stuck on You is his best post-commodore's song. I swear Lionel's a country singer at heart not a funk man.

That's a matter of opinion. Groove is in the heart and Funk is more than a feeling.

I love the whole Can't Slow Down album because it made me get used to Lionel's solo career a little more. Don't get me wrong: I loved when he was with the Commodores, but by the time he released his debut, I was so disappointed. An album full of lighthearted adult contemporary ballads? Can't Slow Down was a completely different album--it was like his THRILLER and I loved it from beginning to end! And that song, Love Will Find A Way is probably one of his most underrated solo jams ever. I loved the jazzy instrumentation and the smooth vocals. One of my favorite LR cuts! Check me out and add me on:

"Love Will Find A Way" is my favorite song by Lionel. It reminds me so much of Kenny Loggins' "Love Will Follow" which is a favorite of mine also. If I am not mistaken, both songs came out around the same time.

I always loved the song "Selah." I can remember listening to that song on the radio as a kid and thinking that its reggae beat made it sound so different than what was on the radio....then I think a lil while later, "Red Red Wine" started blowing up on radio

Selah was the jam . Again, I have to say that Lionel wrote most of his best stuff before the shit hit the fan w/Brenda. After Brenda left, his music hasn't sounded right since. [Edited 7/2/05 11:23am]

[Edited 7/2/05 11:23am] it took him 5 years beacuse of throat surgery but he had 1 more classic with "you are my destiny" in 92'
