Americans get pissed when you insult our entertainment/stars. You can diss our President, our educational system, our ethics and even our religion but diss our stars and we're pissed! LOL!
Reality television SUCKS; even if it gives great artists airtime. When its done in the form of a talent show, its a fucking insult. How'd you "fans" like to see Prince on here? Do you think he'd do it? If not, why? Sorry, I don't respect shows like this. Its not the performers or even the show itself. Its the principles behind it. Why do people have to feel the need to judge everybody all the time? The permissive mentality that shows like this one and American Idol promote are negative in nature. Do you people think you really pick what's going on? YOU DON'T. Do you think companies who spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year on ads will actually leave everything in the hands of the fickle-minded public? If you believe that then you are gullible and what they do is working on your ass. A false sense of control. That's all it is. They don't care who "wins" on these shows as long as you watch so they can run ads and you can go buy their products. They control what you watch. The only thing you have the power to do is change the channel over to another set of people controlling what you watch. All of this "voting" and crap that goes on in so-called "reality" television is b.s. 9 times out of 10 they will flip the script on you so that you will watch the next week. Its all fine and good. Its all entertainment, but at least see it for what it is instead if trying to mask it. Many of the acts didn't just "slip out of the limelight," they've actually broken up and aren't performing anymore. Animotion is one of those groups. And like Cee said, they're performing again partly because it's a performance for a charitable cause. I don't think there's anything shameful or debasing about that. The audience is ALWAYS receptive to each act. I'm watching it because I like the acts they're showcasing, not because I want to see a trainwreck. i love reality tv....and am looking forward to that new show where an actor gets hired and then tries his best to get fired from a job.....the only drawback with reality tv is keeping the shows fresh.....Hit Me Baby was bound to run out of acts but was fun while it lasted | |
