Quincy Jones' Daughters on Growing Up Biracial And In a Musical Family.

Compelling article from the June 2005 Issue of Glamour Magazine.

I will read the article in the library because it's too difficult to see here, but just based on the pictures provided, these two women are gorgeous. I have no way to relate to their dilemma of being biracial, but what ever problems they may have faced growing up aren't unique. We can easily say that it's a result of ignorance on the parts of those who made comments that made them feel unacceptable, but if we're honest about human behavior, if they were fully black, they may have faced the same amount of prejudice for being black and wealthy. I don't know how their relationships with their older siblings from Quincy's previous relations is but I'm sure they could have provided some help. If it means anything, Quincy has a knack for attracting some nice women, his youngest daughter's mother is Nastassja Kinski.

interesting article.

it also decidedly rebukes that weak bullshit that some ignorant people try to say about "oh, the children will be confused, they won't know if they're 1 complexion or the other, they'll get teased more for that.."

it's simple - you are the product of your parents genes.
as we all know, you cannot "choose" your parents.

I give a lot of respect to this family for getting through all that ignorant bullshit that kept coming up around them. in this case, it made them stronger as individuals, it made the girls closer as sisters, & it definitely made them stronger as a family.

& both daughters are as
FINE
as hell to boot.
I'll see you tonight..
