I'm pretty excited about... ahem... hearing this, but so far I've been unable to. What's it like? Similar to her previous work or a radical departure? I tried all day yesterday to hear some of the tracks only to find songs corrupted. I gather they've played the album on the radio and all over the place, yet I haven't heard a thing.

How would you describe the album? I need some new Fiona Apple music. "Across The Universe" (though a nice version) and other soundtrack songs, are just not going to hold me.

I gather this is the full tracklist, am I correct?

hey now, there are more Fiona fans than this....I know. There were actually a couple of threads on her new album a while back when it first started to leak. This album was really finished in May of 2003 Shame on Sony. "Red,Red,Red" is probably my favorite from the album. It's a little bit darker and dramatic than the other songs on the album. Another favorite is "Not About Love".....I love the strings in this song. For the most part, the album is very uptempo and "waltzy" . Some of the songs remind me of "Paper Bag" from When the Pawn. btw, that is the correct tracklist and you can download the non-corrupted album from Emule, TorrentSpy, etc There's a petition to release her album: http://www.petitiononline...tion.html. I signed it, even though I got it when it leaked

Is there an official release date yet?

Not that I know of.

I think it's a "very good" album. *** 1/2 in other words.

It should definitely be released. The mp3s are nice in the meantime, but my audiophileness can't listen to 128kbps forever.
