She "borrowed" from Housequake on the original version and is now borrowing from Vanity 6 on a remix. Why doesn't she just do a cover and save everyone else the embarassment?

This song is "Mickey" for the 2000s. (That's not a compliment either).

I give her props for being 40 and looking like she's in her 20s, but -- Negro, Per Piacere!!!!!

I found a mash-up of "Hollaback Girl" and Front 242's "Headhunter" (www.rebeldjs.com). Industrial Gwen sounds pretty good. I actually like the song now. razz

It's a bootleg. Gwen is notoriously stingy with authorizing mixes - I doubt she would ever accept a mashup, anyway. The only mix of Hollaback Girl that she's released officially is the Hollatronix Remix.

The Hollatronix Remix is the only one that has been released commercially. The version by Gwen and Tony Kanal (the Dancehollaback Mix) was issued on promo 12'' only in instrumental, acappella and main version formats.

And, yes, Gwen is known for being stingy with what mixes she releases. The chick could have been a huge dance star by now, but she refuses too much product. About the only worthwhile mixes she's had were the Jacques Lu Cont mixes of WYWF.

Well, there you are wink

It's short, though, only 2:43. I don't think it's a dance mix.

CO-SIGN.

I know it's been mentioned before but I FINALLY heard the NASTY GIRL cover done by Inaya Day. It's house but more on the techno side. I don't like techno very much but I think this cover is pretty good.
