***weeks ago,we heard about a rumored bonus track called "Beatbox",but it doesn't appear on my Japanese import.Has anyone heard this track? Does it even exist?

***does anyone know what "Electric Mistress" is all about? Who is Pretty Polly?

I heard about the track 'beatbox' also, when sony was flooding P2P programs with fake mp3s from Dynamite[which were really 20 minute files of silence] I saw Beatbox as a track.

The UK version of the cd only has 'time won't wait' as a bonus track.

I think PrettyPolly might just be the girl singing in the song.I really have no idea though.

AHH i found a link to a site called http://www.prettypolly.co.uk/

From what it looks like I think Pretty Polly is a designer for undergarments and stuff like that?

Yes it does exist it is only 18 seconds and it is comprised of the little intro beatboxing on Feels Just Like It Should. The original track it derived from was an interlude on the test pressing of A Funk Odyssey. It was later edited down into Beatbox.....Orgnote me if you want Beatbox.

if they ever get back to experimental jazz/electronica fusion, wake me up. until then, i'd rather not continue watching them slide into this cliched funk re-heat they've been doing for the last 10 years.

I can't stop listening to Dynamite and Talulah.

Falling from synkronized was my favorite slow song and Talulah is just so sweet.

Cool thread, DavidEye! I ordered Dynamite as an import and I've been listening to it all weekend. In my opinion, it's Jamiroquai's best CD since Travelling Without Moving -- better than Synkronized and A Funk Odyssey.

It's an incredible bass album. Derrick McIntyre holds it down on this project, and I noticed that Incognito's Randy Hope-Taylor also appears.

Curious, though, that the powers-that-be elected to make "Feels Like It Should" the first single. IMO, it's the weakest track on the CD.

Yeah, this is an incredible bass album! Several tracks features distinctive bass by Derrick McIntyre, who has worked with Roy Ayers. One of my favorite moments on the album is that little breakdown that occurs after the first verse of "Seven Days In Sunny June".

I agree,it's probably the album's weakest song. It's an extremely funky track (musically),but it wears thin after several listens.

I love this album. This is one of the better Jamiroquai cd's.It's pretty solid. I only like a few tracks on A Funk Odyssey so,I was a little disappointed. This is far more enjoyable. I still don't think it'll make 'em big in the us.Maybe if they had followed Travelling ... with this one. Jay's vocals are interesting and he is trying a few different touches. I wish I could time machine "dynamite" back to '76 and see what the ppl's reactions would be. This is much closer to the feeling I used to get from their earlier albums.

Does anyone know how big a new deal they got? Their initial Sony deal was for 5 albums. This is the 6th. The fifth was a smash for them. What a way to enter contract negotiations!!

I think "Love Blind" and "Black Devil Car" should become future singles.

Does your copy of the CD end with "Hot Tequila Brown"?

I need a copy of that Japanese-only track.
