"draped" 1991. Anyone got this album? Its newjack but with a pop flavour. He died in november 1991. he was a good vocalist. He was only 19.

Death was gang related. Its ironic that his second single "thats not the way", was released about a month before his death. Its a really nice song.

He woulda made as second album. Such a shame.

One of my friends also shares that last name. It's a constant source of ridicule that never seems to get old!

I remember seeingthis in the record store, but never having desire to buy it.
My wife told me that he had a single that got lots of airplay in the Dayton Ohio area, where she's from. I'm from Cloumbus, and looking back, we were too busy bumpin' Guy and Boyz II Men in '91 to give Chris Bender any consideration.

This guy was one of my favorites. He was from my hometown. They used too play two songs of his on WZAK and WDMT which were the popular radio stations at the time where I live and one the songs was Which Will I Chose and Kiss & Make Up. This fella was very talented and it was tragic how he died before he reached the top.

He was shot "mistakenly" apparantly?

No one I ever heard of on prodcution credits, but might aswell say them.

Most of it produced by Martin Van Blockson?

Here is a link. The only (very short) review and info I could find.

http://www.artistdirect.c...78,00.html

Interestingly it states that "draped" was his second album? His first must be mega rare then. Good voice, good ballads, some nice swingers too.
