I finally saw Gladys' performance a couple of nights ago. WOW.
Beautiful how everybody just remained standing and grooving and singing along during her first couple of songs. That's not just respect. That's love. That's honor. That's props. Gladys sounded awesome. I felt a little ashamed of myself because I'd forgotten about songs like "You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" and "Save The Overtime". Man, that took me back (remember the kids breakdancing in the video?). It had been a long time since I'd heard those songs and it was great to see Gladys up there just killin' 'em. Gladys is so cute, too. Workin' that crowd and looking nothing like her age. I was sittin' there like my mom used to do when I was a kid, like; "Get it, Gladys! Get it!"  | |
