I gotta go with Coldplay.

I would have said Eminem, up until his last SHITTY album. After Encore, I don't really see him going too much further.

One can certainly make a case for Beyonce.

My pick is Alicia Keys. She hasn't started any trends, although I think her intro's to the albums(Piano and I, Harlem Nocturnal) have interesting and unique sounds, I can't quite say if it's new or not. It sorta mixes Hip Hop, RnB, and Classical with bits of opera, in very interesting ways.

Give her time. She definitely has my vote and she's the most interesting in my opinion.

Yes, though not really an artist, but who is post 2000?

She's not that big anymore but she started a trend of faux punk rockers, which is really annoying now considering that's all they play now.

After girls stopped dressing like Britney, they started wearing ties and not washing their hair. And many guys think it's hot.

Good work Avril thumbs up!

Those pics of Beyonce's booty on people are priceless.

I thinkt he bitch is solid gold, dotn get me wrong.

But her ass was looking like a bruised orange peel-- all dented.
I was deflated.

Thats still my girl though.
Especially on the academy awards, singing in other languages, she jsut looked like so much a bigger deal than we take her for.
