Anyone looking forward to the BET awards?

I am! I know it's gonna be hot. It's usually more entertaining than the MTV awards and all of the other award shows for that matter.

Who do we predict will make an arse of themselves? biggrin

I am. The BET awards have usurped the MTV Video Music Awards as the coolest award show on television right now.

I know I was LMAO @ Monique's Beyoncé skit. Plus, the Barry White tribute was great. And seeing Teena and Rick singing together for the last time was the stuff for what these kind of events are made*!

I loved last years award show. It rocked. Monique kileed it with her Beyonce routine ( i mean that in a good way). Loved the Teena Marie and Rick James performance. Can't wait to see what the highlight of the show will be this year.

I will definetly be watching tomorrow night. I wish Prince would show up and perform but oh well. I'll still watch it. I hope there will be a lot of memorable moments.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Eventhough P has popped up damn near everywhere shit, it would be memorable to see him on BET. I am still getting over last year and my boy Slick Rick and Teena

Me too. They show a bit of the performance last night on the BET News and it just made me smile and laugh. I hate how BET does P. I don't think he's gotten any special award from them and that's a damn shame considering how he helped put BET on the map. He needs to go on there and show them thugs and whatnot why he's still the shit.

hrmph I doubt if BET would even let P's ass in the place considering that their owned by MTV now who is still buddy buddy with Warner Brothers/Time Life. When they give P his props, I would have to see it to beleive it.

I think there were a few big threads here about that performance. I thought it was a train wreck the first time I saw it but when I saw it again a few months later and after Rick passed on, I could appreciate it more, especially when he came back out and told the audience, "I'm Rick James Bitch" Classic.

nod Now from those who knew Slick back in the day, they would tell you that what you saw on the show is the real deal. Slick was a true superfreak playa pimp2 in the sense of the word and he lived his life the way he wanted to live it but overdid it in excess unfortuantely like so rock stars do. Rest in peace Slick. tombstone
