Concert DVDs you've bought recently

Did anyone buy any concert DVDs lately? I'm going out tomorrow to pick up these two...

"The Eagles Farewell Tour 1" (2-DVD set of their 2004 tour)

"Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago: Live At The Greek Theatre" (2-DVD set of their 2004 tour)

lol I'll have alot to watch during this long holiday weekend

what concert DVDs have you bought recently? Any upcoming concert DVDS you're looking forward to?

I have a stack of concert DVD's, but...

The last two I bought were:

Rush: Live In Rio (redface I only bought it cos it was cheap. Honest boxed)

Sex Pistols: Live At The Longhorn. Very ropey quality and Sid Vicious is predictably rubbish (should've kept Glen) but an interesting historical document all the same.

Even though I am not a big Led Zeppelin fan, I think as a piece of music history and an insight into the band, their DVD, um, "DVD" is damn fine.

Other highlights (for me, anyhow big grin) of my collection are:

Queen - Live At Wembley

Rolling Stones - Four Flicks (pricey but comprehensive)

U2 - U2 Go Home: Live At Slane Castle

Great show! But I wish some of their 70s concerts were available on DVD.

I have a DVD by a band called Therapy? which proves it can be done by a band with no large following or big budget -

Full live concert
Interview footage (thoughtfully put-together for once)
Videos from throughout their career (i.e. not just a couple tacked on as "bonus" features)
Interesting documentary (of a decent length, none of that 10 minutes backstage shite that some bands try and get away with)

All on a modestly packaged and priced single DVD.

They put bigger and supposedly "better" bands to shame nod

Prince - Live At The Alladin
Wattstax

In the store, I saw three DVDs of The Stylistics and The Delfonics on the same DVD. I'm thinking about buying them.

Unfortunately, it's a new concert. If it was an old one, I would have bought it on the spot. biggrin

I just preordered the Suicide Girls tour DVD yesterday...or did you mean a concert DVD from an actual band? razz

Very few bands that I like release concerts on DVD. The last one I may have bought was Goldfrapp's 'Wonderful Electric' last year or possibly Yeah Yeah Yeah's 'Tell Me What Rockers To Swallow' DVD. Whichever one was released last.

I just remembered the real last concert DVD was the reissue of the Nellie McKay CD as a dualdisc. The DVD side of the disc has a live concert on it.
