I don't know a whole lot of Hayes' music outside of the greatest hits type compilations. Of those, I love his take on Walk on By. It's so funky and radically different from the original that it's impossible not to love. The original itself is also one of my favorites.

Gotta agree with the masses."Walk on By".Mainly for the instrumental(2-3 minutes) intro. That's a sexy geetar in that one.

Hell Yeah. What was cool about this song was how Issac and the band did an extended groove. Shit, this during the days when no remix was needed. Go Head Issac and Break Me Off Some Of That Hot Buttered Soul.

Even though he has some great tracks, most notably "Shaft", I have to go with "Don't Let Go", which I don't think appears on those many collections of his music!

Indeed. How could I forget that one? Issac was very masterful at how he phrased the lyrics in this particular song. "If Lovin Is Your Thing, Then love on." [Edited 6/25/05 15:52pm]
