destiny's child

spice girls

supremes

tlc

or are all of them about the same really? one minute i read it's tlc, then the next spice girls, etc.. and each have at one point or another been called the "most successful girl group of all time". we already now the most succesful all girl band is the Go~Go's. giggle

Spice Girls have the sold the most of them all!!

TLC's United States sales are more than DC's US sales

But, DC beats them overall in world wide sales

Don't know about the Supremes....

Not sure what you're using as your guage for success but...

"...The exhibit celebrates the 40th anniversary of the trio’s first Number One hit, “Where Did Our Love Go.” This song was the first of five straight number one hits that established the Supremes as Motown’s most popular act and the most successful girl group of all time.

The group amassed a dozen Number One hits between 1964 and 1969, including five consecutive chart toppers. “Where Did Our Love Go” began that streak in August 1964 and was followed by “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” “Stop! In the Name of Love” and “Back in My Arms Again.” The milestone is all the more impressive because it occurred at the height of the British Invasion – a period when beat groups from abroad otherwise ruled the charts."

...Keep in mind that they did some of this against heavy competition - The Beatles.

biggrin

That would be U.S.

I don't have any info on any of the other groups but i'm guessing those numbers would have to put The Supremes near the top in some of those categories.

Internationally, i've got no clue.
