The five-day Berkelee College Percussion Festival might register on the Richter scale. Through July 1, the Latin, hip-hop, jazz , and world sounds move into the Berklee Performance Center and the David Friend Recital Hall. The former hosts John Blackwell, a member of Prince's New power Generation, at noon (free) on Monday, June 27th, and Ralph Peterson's Fo'tet and Yoron Israel at 8:15 ($5).
