the FAB 5 are back. UNITED KINGDOM: After a week of intense negotiations, Posh, Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Baby will reunite for the gig of the decade in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday, July 2nd. It will be the first time they’ve shared a stage in 8 and Live 8 will also be the launch pad for a new single, album and tour. According to UK tabloid News Of The World, “The girls really wanted to be a part of Live 8. They’ve been discussing the possibility of reforming for the last year or so but they agreed it had to be the right project. It had to be something special and what’s more special than Live 8?, Not only is it an absolutely huge event but its also for charity, which is great” Mel B also confirmed this week “We’ll get back together because we all want to. I know everyone is up for it. Theres going to be a greatest hits album and we’ve got loads of new songs that nobody has heard yet.” Earlier this week it looked unlikely that the girls would appear at Live 8 after it was wrongly claimed promoter Harvey Goldsmith had banned them for not being “rock n roll enough”. He later confirmed they’d be more than welcome and on Wednesday Sir Bob Geldof said he’d spoken to the girls and the signs were looking good. Now the nitty gritty has been sorted and they’re definitely talking part. Victoria Beckham even went so far as to meet with manager Simon Fuller in LA this weekend to thrash out her part of the deal. But a comeback for global poverty isn’t the only project in the pipeline, the girls also plan to release a new single and a greatest hits album. In fact, the band has already lined up a track written by Richard Stannard and Matt Rowe, who penned several of their hits – including debut number one Wannabe. News Of The World added “The girls are planning to release the new single as soon as possible. They will then bring out a greatest hits album on the back of Live 8. They know it’s the perfect way to bring them back into the limelight” - SGA who did you think i meant?

the only way this will be good is if they look the way they did in 1997, geri has to have bright red hair and look like ginger spice, victoria like posh spice, mel.c has to look like sporty spice, emma like baby spice and mel.b like scary spice, if they come as they look now, it just wont be the same.

I confess: I think the Spice Girls are corny as all get out, but I LOVE them. We soooo need their mindless fun these days! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
