Ok, so I just got my ticket to see Jonny Lang in a small venue, The Kentucky Theatre, on 29 Aug. I have 3rd row seats but kinda in the cawna. Who has seen him live & what should I expect? Is he gonna be as good with the accoustic set?

I saw him in 1999 or 2000 at the Denver Fillmore. Incredible show! Not to mention how fine he was....
I don't remember if there was much acoustic at that time -- but I would guess it to be good. he's solid. Have fun!

tnx...it is being billed as "An Acoustic Evening with Jonny Lang" as part of the Troubadour Concert Series that the Kentucky Theatre runs every Summer. Last year we had Gillian Welch and Allison Krauss. I don't know what to expect but I love the music. and he iz FINE.

I think Prince was also a fan of Stevie Ray, but there was a situation a while back that Prince was supposed to play with Stevie and Prince didn't show or something. It was a many, many years ago when Prince was here in Austin for a concert and he played an after show. I can't remember exactly what happened, but Stevie Ray was supposedly really disappointed.
