When is the new RHCP album coming out? hmm

It's supposed to come out in the fall. There was a quick blurb on rollingstone.com recently where they said they were just putting the final vocals on it but it was basically done. One of the song titles mentioned is "Only 18". I think Frusciante was quoted as saying the album is very heavy with soaring melodies.

I completely agree, barring the fact I actually like Stacy's Mom. I hate that it's the song that's now identified with this band, though. It cheapens them, really, because they're just some lame 1-hit band with a sexy video in the eyes of the public.

Welcome Interstate Managers and their first album are tremendous records, up their with anything Big Star, Matthew Sweet, Marshall Crenshaw or any other pure pop revivalist ever did.

Fucking incredible aren't they?

Another great reason for owning "The Idiot" is to see the evolution from the totally different "Station to Station" and "Low".

When is Goldfrapp's album coming out? I haven't really been keeping up with their news. I love their other albums Black Cherry and Felt Mountain.

I'm hoping to get Meshell's new one today. After that, I'd say Bjork's is the next biggie on my radar.

U.K. release date for 'Supernature' is August 22nd. The video for the first single "Ooh La La" is very glam like someone said before. Musically, it sounds similar to "Train", but with more of a rock edge.

Oh dear. I just read that the U.S. release date for the album has been pushed back to February 2006. I will most likely buy the import in August then. Unlike St. Etienne, no way can I wait until next year for new Goldfrapp.

U.S. edit

Ive heard a ton of reports and rumours. I guess we have to wait this one out to see for sure. I think its great that he wants to express his sexuality in his music. More power to him.
