The Ultimate Soul Show & Revue I got this idea from something vainandy said in the "comical song" thread.
Back in the day you'd see advertisements for So and So's Soul Show and Revue. It always featured at least 2 or 3 acts and weeks prior to the event, you'd see fliers around town like this... ...on almost every pole and wall space. So here's the deal. Become a promoter and create your own Ultimate Soul Show and Revue. In honor of vainandy, my initial show is dedicated to him... Denise LaSalle - opening act Bobby Rush - middle act Millie Jackson - headliner Now tell me you wouldn't get your money's worth from those three trying to outdo each other. They all are a little (or a lot) racy, understand "showtime" and know how to entertain. Have at it. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all." | |

Wonder why he did that?) I'd buy that ticket. Might even pay double for front row seats to see/hear those duets. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. If I'm not mistaken, I think at some time or other in the past, we have had that same exact lineup down here. If you added a few more artists like Betty Wright, Shirley Brown, J. Blackfoot & The Soul Children, Bobby "Blue" Bland, and B.B. King, you could make a two day festival of it. Back in the 1980s, the line-up could have also included Z.Z. Hill. LaWanda "Aunt Esther" Page could have opened the entire event with her stand-up comedy act. She used to open for some of the blues concerts and festivals back then.
