I think Alicia Keys is far from talentless and she's definitely a looker but I fail to see where the genius is. Have I not seen enough of her shows or something? Have I not listened to enough of her songs? She seems more like a pseudo-musician to me and sometimes I think the only reason why some orgers praise her is because she sucked up to Prince.

This was the first photoshoot she did for a UK magazine. It is real (as I remember when the mag came out).
She is gorgeous and has a good voice; the material is a bit weak though.

Aren't all celebrities and singers overrated? Seriously, I believe they are. Granted, some do amazing work, but do they really deserve all the attention and accolades that people give them? I don't think so.

Having said that, Alicia is cool with me and I believe she'll only get better as she gets older.
